Why does my plan combine several treatments?
Modalities target different problems: surgery removes local disease, radiation controls a defined area, and systemic drugs reach cells elsewhere in the body.
How are side effects managed?
Supportive care is planned alongside treatment. Report new symptoms early — most side effects are far easier to control when addressed quickly.
Can I ask for a different treatment approach?
Yes. Asking why a specific sequence was chosen, and what the alternatives are, is a normal and expected part of the conversation.
